Handcrafted small marlins dangle from a single oval link for lots of movement without being too heavy or large. They are made from 14k double clad gold-filled material. 14k gold-filled French wire hooks. Overall about 2” x 1/2”.

What is 14k gold-filled?
Despite how it sounds, gold-filled metal is not actually filled with gold. "Gold-filled" is simply an age-old term that became accepted in the jewelry industry. Today, gold-filled is a quality designation that's regulated by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
All of my gold-filled products have a 14k gold layer and meet the federal quality standards established by the FTC and is 1/20th (5%) 14k gold. The raw material comes in 3 forms:
Wire: A 14k gold tube is bonded to a brass core, ends of the wire show the brass core.
Single-clad sheet: A 14k gold sheet is bonded to one side of a brass sheet; the brass is visible on back and edges.
Double-clad sheet: The total gold weight is divided into two 14k gold sheets. The brass core is placed in between two sheets before bonding; edges show the brass core.
Clean with a soft cloth or with a couple of drops of mild soap in warm water and an ultra soft toothbrush for a deeper clean.
